Apollo Bay Arts Inc is an arts council – a group of volunteers who love all kinds of art. Our aim is to:

  • assist local artists;
  • enhance the quality of life for Apollo Bay and district residents;
  • promote activities of all art forms;
  • facilitate workshops in many art forms; and
  • assist in bringing artistic performances to Apollo Bay.

We publish news regularly in the Apollo Bay News so that members and the general public can find out what is on.

Apollo Bay Arts Inc was formed in 1985 and incorporated in 1994.  Incorporation enabled eligibility for grant applications & public liability insurance.

What we do – host annual events; Art Show in January and Writers Festival in July/August; manage Arts Inc Gallery (an artist run space); promote local Arts News in weekly news-sheet; assist Tuesday Arts Group, Thursday watercolour and printing group. Plus maintenance of the creative village project- poles and seats on the foreshore. We also present exhibitions and performances plus anything else that people ask for.

Apollo Bay Art Show each year works towards fundraising for artistic endeavour in the community for the year ahead. We have grants available for projects of an artistic nature which will engage community members in an art form of your choice.

We have produced postcards and flyers of the creative village project and published books of local writings. We are funded by grants, fundraising raffles, and the sale of postcards/ books/ tickets.
